A fascinating way to begin or end the day is to go around the inside perimeter of the temple enclosure in a circular, auspicious circle and watch a sea of maroon and yellow dip and rise, accompanied by Tibetan monks making unending prostrations on their prayer boards.

Next, observe the Bodhi Tree. Prince Siddhartha, the founder of Buddhism, attained enlightenment under the shade of this tree, which is unquestionably the most revered fig tree on Earth. After attaining enlightenment, it is reported that Buddha gazed fixedly at the tree, expressing appreciation and wonder.

Next, visit the Great Buddha Statue, which is situated at the end of Temple Street. This 25-meter-tall Japanese-style statue looms over a scenic garden. According to reports, the partially hollow statue contains around 20,000 bronze Buddhas.

After visiting the Vishupad Temple, which was constructed as a tribute to Lord Vishnu and has a 40 cm-long footprint of the deity surrounded by a basin made of silver plates, one can feel the spirit of the temple.

Visits to a few well-known monasteries, including those in Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, and other countries, followed this one.
